Christopher Cates is a seasoned dealmaker, and entrepreneur with a diverse background spanning Mergers & Acquisitions, real estate investment, real estate development, and real estate brokerage activities. Previously, Christopher served as Vice President of a mid-market M&A firm where he advised on transactions for mid-market companies across a diverse range of industries. That foundation, combined with decades of entrepreneurial experience, shapes the perspective he brings to advising business owners on exit strategies and value maximization.
As an accomplished entrepreneur, Christopher has executed real estate investment and development ventures across numerous markets nationwide, including residential, commercial, and coastal projects. He also co-founded Cates & Company, an award-winning boutique real estate brokerage in the DFW/North Texas area. His hands-on experience as a business owner gives him a unique ability to connect with and counsel owners that are navigating significant transitions. Christopher holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston and a Texas Real Estate Broker’s License.
