IAG is happy to announce the sale of New Cambria Livestock Auction in New Cambria, Missouri.
New Cambria Livestock Auction was started in around 1940 in the heart of Missouri.
Larry Duncan bought the business in 2008 after working as a “hand” for several years. Thirty-three years later, Larry and his wife Nancy were ready to move on to their next chapter, having built up the business with about a $400K DSE and a large property value.
Within six months of going to market, three solid prospective buyer site visits transpired and two firm offers were declined.
An agreement was then reached with a couple from West Virginia.
The closing was scheduled for September 2022 but due to significant delays on the part of the lenders, the closing date was continuously extended out through the middle of December.
By the third week in December, all parties agreed on getting the deal done before the end of the year, so IAG’s deal team worked with the lender to organize all sides.
Over the proceeding week, with the lender committing to a certain deadline, cooler heads prevailed, and the buyers agreed to move forward. The rest is now history.
