We are pleased to announce the recent sale of Frye & Associates, a custom stone countertop and home improvement company in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This well-established business has built a strong reputation over 15 years, specializing in custom countertops, backsplashes, sinks, and other kitchen and bath remodels. With a dedicated manufacturing facility and a skilled team, they handle both residential and commercial projects with precision.
David Michaelson of IAG led the transaction, working closely with Mark Frye, the owner. When the business was listed in February 2023, initial inquiries were deterred by pricing and financials that didn’t support an SBA-backed loan. Mark initially held higher price expectations and a valuation of his property that exceeded bank appraisals. Through frequent discussions, David provided guidance on market realities and alternative financing.
In July 2023, a nearby buyer expressed interest. After exploring various financing options, the parties agreed on a self-financing arrangement that ultimately provided Mark with the financial return he sought. Both parties collaborated closely, and after months of careful planning, the sale was completed with terms favorable to both sides.
