We are pleased to announce the successful sale of a custom millwork company located in the scenic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. This company has built a legacy of quality, specializing in high-end cabinetry, doors, trims, and other custom woodwork for residential and commercial projects. With a steady stream of clients, including those in the luxury home market, the company consistently demonstrated impressive profitability.
This sale was not without challenges. Based in a smaller Colorado town, the business had to overcome geographic hurdles. The IAG advisor on this transaction worked tirelessly to find a buyer willing to relocate and invest in the company’s future.
Ultimately, a buyer with a management background but no direct experience in woodworking recognized the value of the business. The buyers moved to Colorado, securing a home even before the deal closed. Although there was a last-minute complication with SBA financing due to an accounting question, the IAG team restructured the deal, and the sellers provided financing support to finalize the purchase. This closing, just two weeks before our three-year agreement with the seller expired, marked a full-price sale and a significant achievement for everyone involved.
